The Salvation Army & National Donut Day
The City of Jeannette Police Department would like to thank The Salvation Army in Jeannette for the donuts today for National Donut Day. They were greatly appreciated, not only by Officer Alex Lydic (pictured), but by all the officers. The Salvation Army also presented us with a Certificate of Recognition for our years of hard work and dedication to the community. Thank you again for your generosity.
National Donut Day is celebrated each year on the first Friday of June to honor The Salvation Army's "Lassies", who made history when they risked their lives to raise spirits and fuel hope by serving thousands of soldiers during WWI by delivering donuts and other sweet treats to those in the war. Thank you all at The Salvation for all that you do.
