Jeannette, PA -- A Jeannette man was arrested February 8, 2023, after a search warrant led investigators to heroin, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia inside a house with 3 children living inside.
Agents with the Westmoreland County Attorney General Drug Task Force assisted Agents with the Attorney General's Office with the search on Bullitt Avenue in Jeannette.
Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announces the arrest of Cornell Thomas who is facing possession with intent to manufacture/deliver a controlled substance, endangering welfare of children, possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Investigators said as they approached the house, 3 juvenile children came outside the front door, while agents found Thomas exiting the rear of the residence.
Police found the bulk of the drugs in the main area of the house, with suspected heroin allegedly stashed under a couch cushion in the common living area of the house.
According to agents, a search of the house revealed the following:
- $1,138 dollars in US Currency
- Orange pill bottle containing marijuana approximately 29.73g
- Plastic container with marijuana approximately 45.24g
- Black digital scale
- 5 Bricks of suspected heroin, being 252 individual stamp bags
- 1 small plastic container containing a white powdery substance approximately 2.07g
