Arnold, PA – Arnold Police and Westmoreland County Detective Bureau responded to a deadly stabbing on Sunday, August 4, 2024.

At approximately 5:38 p.m., Arnold Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Liberty Avenue in Arnold for the report of a man stabbing a woman.

Brian Rebold, 38, called 911 to report the stabbing. Several neighbors witnessed the incident and provided statements to officers on scene.

Responding officers found the suspect’s mother, Diana Rebold, lying unresponsive in the street and bleeding profusely from her head.

Rebold allegedly threw the knife into a neighboring yard, which was recovered by police.

Rebold was taken into custody without incident.

The victim suffered from multiple stab wounds to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Brian Rebold was charged with criminal homicide and murder of the first degree.

He was remanded to the Westmoreland County Prison and is being held without bail.
