Unity Township, PA -- Pennsylvania State Police, in cooperation with the Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office, filed charges against a Latrobe man accused of assaulting a McDonald's employee over an order.
Troopers filed simple assault and harassment charges against Jordan Ripingill, 33, following an altercation at the McDonald's in Mountain Laurel Plaza on October 31, 2023.
Police said Ripingill placed an order through the drive through and was upset his iced coffee was made incorrectly.
Ripingill allegedly entered the store and began shouting and yelling obscenities in front of employees, customers and children.
An employee attempted to rectify the order, refunded Ripingill and offered to correct the issue. He was told not to return to the store because of his behavior.
Ripingill then allegedly attacked the employee, threw him to the ground and struck him in the face resulting in a black eye and lacerations to his hands, according to state police.
