Murrysville, PA -- Murrysville Police Department arrested an Export man accused of breaking into a neighboring home and sexually assaulting a woman who lived there.
On September 1, 2025, Murrysville Police responded to a residence on Hills Church Road for a reported burglary and sexual assault.
Officers spoke to the victim who claimed a male tapped her on the shoulder while she was in the bathroom, handed her a condom and propositioned the woman for sex.
The victim refused the advances and claimed the male touched her inappropriately. When she told the male no, again, he left the residence through a back door.
The homeowner told investigators he believes the actor could be a neighbor who cuts their grass, later identified as Gregory Schneider.
The description of the actor provided by the victim matched the neighbor's appearance.
The victim relayed to police that on August 29 she noticed clothes in her closet were out of place and there was a large stain on the mattress in her bedroom.
While officers were there, they saw Schneider returning home and spoke to him about the incident.
Schneider, 47, allegedly told police he went into the victim's home uninvited with the intent to have sex with the victim while her husband was not home.
Police said Schneider admitted to entering the residence several days prior when no one was home and went through the victim's underwear and clothing.
Schneider was charged with two counts of burglary, indecent assault and was denied bail.
