New Kensington, PA -- A traffic stop in New Kensington led police to the discovery of suspected cocaine and fentanyl hidden on two men, according to police.
Officers were on routine patrol in the early morning hours of October 13, 2025 in the area of 4th Avenue and 11th Street when a vehicle was observed failing to stop at two stop signs.
New Kensington Police pulled the vehicle over for the violations and observed one of the passengers open a door in an attempt to exit the vehicle before getting back inside.
Police smelled alcohol on the driver's breath and requested all of the occupants of the vehicle to step outside and requested a consent to search the vehicle.
Upon receiving consent, officers recovered two baggies of suspected cocaine concealed in the vehicle, according to police.
A further search of the passengers revealed more drugs hidden on their bodies resulting in 48.4 grams of suspected cocaine, 3.4 grams of suspected fentanyl, cash and cell phones,
Demetrius Houser and Germaine Alford were arrested and charged with drug-related offenses.
