Greensburg, PA -- The Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office partnered with Autism Connection of Pennsylvania to host a training for law enforcement officers last week.
The two-hour training provided education and resources to law enforcement for responding to calls involving parties with autism.
The training drew in more than two dozen law enforcement officers from across the county.
DA Ziccarelli said, "I believe training, educating, and equipping our law enforcement officers with as many resources and learning opportunities as we can, only benefits our county and the residents we serve. I am proud we were able to partner with Autism Connection of Pennsylvania to offer insight and raise awareness with this training."
The project was funded by the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council.
