It is my determination that this is the only way to abate that problems that have brought violence to this community and placed law enforcement officers in grave danger. Our community, county, and surrounding counties are safer as a whole due to this action. The District Attorney's Office has secured the establishment and access to the premises shall be authorized by my office moving forward. Nuisance establishments will not be tolerated in Westmoreland County. To anyone planning to go to Sweeney's for 4th of July celebrations and beyond, your plans have changed. It is permanently closed for business." - Nicole Ziccarelli, Westmoreland County District Attorney
"The arrests and closing of this nuisance bar are the results of a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Westmoreland County District Attorney's Office. The lives and safety of our police officers and residents of Rostraver Township will no longer be jeopardized by the unlawful activities of patrons associated to this establishment. I want to offer my sincere appreciation to District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli, members of the District Attorney's office, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Enforcement Bureau."
