Ruffs Dale, PA -- Pennsylvania State Police, in cooperation with Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli, are warning residents of a Facebook Lease Scam.

A victim reported to state police he paid a $250 advance to Douglas Rentals Facebook page via Cash App to secure a property.

The victim discovered the property he was interested in was not for sale or for rent.

Police urge you to not send money to someone you do not know, do not make payments with gift cards, never give out personal information and report suspicious activity to police.
