Westmoreland Drug Treatment Court celebrates latest graduates

Greensburg, PA -- Two participants of the Westmoreland Drug Treatment Court graduated on Thursday, January 12, 2023, after completing the program overseen by Judge Christopher Feliciani and Judge Meagan Bilik Defazio.

The 18-month to two-year program gives Westmoreland County residents the opportunity to seek a sober lifestyle by completing treatment, rather than jail time.

Its purpose is to rehabilitate individuals to become productive members of the community enhancing public safety, decreasing substance abuse and reducing recidivism through a collaborative program of intensive judicial oversight, court supervision and treatment.

The graduates were surrounded by family, received proclamations and medals for completing the program.

Westmoreland Drug Treatment Court was launched in 2015 and has had 66 graduates.
